Our energy engineering services include a broad range of offerings from energy audits to systems optimization. With our knowledge of state-of-the-art energy recovery systems and high-efficiency equipment, we can identify and execute strategies to reduce energy use, reduce operational costs, enhance system performance and leverage available energy incentives.
In order to identify appropriate energy and cost saving strategies to inform your design decisions, our advanced modeling tools help design teams create efficient, healthy buildings by developing strategies based on payback, life cycle cost. By integrating early in the design process, clients and owners are able to understand the real impact of design decisions through visualization, animation, and economic analysis.
Identify opportunities to make the existing buildings more efficient through differing levels, or energy audits.
Energy Audit services for assessing, benchmarking and auditing are provided by DIP. Whether ASHRAE Level II audits for BOMA BEST® certifications or a basic assessment, a small office or a large hospital, simple or complex systems, DIP has the expertise and knowledge base to help building owners and operators reduce and manage their energy and water consumption.
Modeling software: eQuest, DOE 2.2, IES, TRACE 700 & EnergyPro (energy); AutoDesk Simulation CFD; Radiance and AGI32 (daylighting).
Create computer-simulated energy models of your proposed or existing buildings that the project team can use to improve the buildings’ design or operation by investigating the relationships between components and systems and evaluating the cost-benefit of various building improvements.
The goal of Measurement and Verification (M&V) services is to help ensure that building systems continue to operate in accordance with design specifications and that potential problems and equipment failures are identified as quickly as possible.
DIP provides Measurement and Verification (M&V) services from plan development through system design, performance monitoring and reporting, including specifications and shop drawing review. Documentation as outlined in the LEED rating system can be provided. DIP can develop a calibrated energy model based on the buildings performance if it is desired by the building owner.
DIP uses leading IR technology to quickly identify deficiencies in new construction projects for immediate correction, which not only establishes the quality of construction but also results in long term operational cost savings.
Infrared thermography (IR) is perhaps the best nondestructive method to identify and analyze numerous types of problems in new construction or existing building systems. IR can be used to identify issues such as heat loss and moisture problems.
